1. Can You Sign? (The Legal Checklist)

Before you sign, please ensure you meet the following Texas legal requirements:

  • Registration: You must be a registered voter in Texas Congressional District 30.

  • The "Independent" Commitment: You must not have voted in the March 3, 2026, Primary or the May 26, 2026, Primary Runoff for either the Democratic or Republican parties.

  • Effective Date: Your voter registration must have been effective for at least 30 days before you sign.

2. Verify Your Status (Two-Step Lookup)

The Secretary of State requires specific information to count your signature. Use the links below to find your data.

Step A: Confirm You Are Registered in TX-30 Click the link below to use the Texas "Am I Registered?" Portal.

  • Search by: Your Name and County (Dallas or Tarrant), or your Driver’s License number.

  • Look For: Confirm your status is "Active" and your U.S. Congressional District is 30.

  • Link: Texas My Voter Page (MVP) Portal

Step B: Find Your Voter ID (VUID)
Your Voter Unique Identifier (VUID) is a 10-digit number assigned to you by the state. You can find it:

  • On your orange-and-white (or yellow-and-white) Voter Registration Certificate.

  • Through the MVP Portal after you log in with your name and birthdate.

3. Ready to Sign? (What to Bring)

I will be collecting physical signatures starting May 27, 2026. When we meet, the law requires the following information to be filled out on the petition:

  • Signature: Must be in your own handwriting.

  • Printed Name: Must be legible and match your registration.

  • Residence Address: The full address (Street, City, and Zip) where you are currently registered.

  • Date of Birth OR VUID: Providing your VUID is the most accurate way to ensure the State verifies your signature.
